With 50 entrants to date, Royal Ulster Yacht Club is excited to be organising Bangor Town Regatta. There are 10 classes over 4 days of sailing and a packed social calendar at the club, so lots to do and enjoy.
With three race courses within ten minutes of the marina entrance on the renowned waters of Belfast lough, we are offering a mix of course types to challenge all levels. Race starts for each class including the RC35 class and a dedicated race course for the Sigma National Championship.
We are delighted to have National Yacht Club’s Con Murphy as Principal Race Officer, along with his team. We are also pleased to announce a number of key trophies for the regatta:
- Bangor Town Cup Trophy for the Best Overall Yacht Bangor Town Regatta
- Beaufort Plate for the Top Placed Scottish Yacht
- Channel Fleet Rose Bowl for Top Placed Sigma
- Hitachi Excavators Trophy for the Top Placed Strangford Lough Yacht
- Robin Davis Trophy for the Best Under 25 Crew
- Alex McVicker Trophy for the 1st Placed RC35 Yacht
